Clark County Commissioner Michael Naft and Clark County Fire Chief Billy Samuels invite the community to a winter holiday celebration at Fire Station 30 on Saturday, Dec. 13 from 2 to 4 p.m. The Cocoa and Cookies event will showcase the fire station located at 7980 W. Robindale Road, just west of Buffalo Drive.

“This is a great opportunity for residents to meet their local firefighters and learn more about the vital services they provide to our community,” said Commissioner Naft, whose District A includes Station 30 and much of the Southern Las Vegas Valley.

Attendees at this family-friendly event will enjoy hot cocoa, cookie decorating, music, games and more. Additionally, there will be firefighter-led tours the station, opportunities to explore a fire engine and all the tools on board, and the chance to experience first-hand what it’s like to spray water from a firehose.

“We're happy to partner with Commissioner Naft to open up the fire station and welcome members of the community we serve,” said Clark County Fire Chief Billy Samuels. "This is the perfect opportunity to learn more about what it’s like to be a firefighter.”

The Cocoa and Cookies event is free and open to all members of the public and media.
