In celebration of Halloween, Clark County is hosting many fun events at community parks and recreation centers, and also is offering safety tips for the holiday as part of its annual trick or treat awareness campaign.

Through Thursday, Oct. 31, several Halloween activities are being hosted at County facilities including trick or treating events and festivals. A full list of activities is on the Halloween events page of the Clark County Parks and Recreation Department’s website at https://tinyurl.com/4c5xfx46. Most of the events are free but a few have nominal fees and require pre-registration. The website page also has information about the County’s “Inside by 9” campaign, which encourages trick or treating to wrap up by 9 p.m. in neighborhoods for pedestrian safety. The website page has safety tips in English and Spanish for motorists and pedestrians and links to TV PSAs.

“We want everyone to have a fun and safe holiday, but we also want to remind motorists and pedestrians to be extra cautious when they are out and about on a busy night like Halloween,” said Clark County Commission Chairman Tick Segerblom. “Please be on the lookout for kids and families who are trick or treating in our local neighborhoods.”

Officials recommend that adults always escort trick or treaters. Trick or treaters also should wear some type of reflective clothing or carry a source of light to increase their visibility. Other tips include:
