Commissioners Justin Jones, along with Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) Spring Valley Area Command and Clark County School District Family Engagement, will host a comprehensive community event on Saturday, March 15, 2025. The initiative, co-hosted with Commissioners Tick Segerblom and April Becker, combines a Peace Walk and Family Fun Festival to address community concerns and promote unity. The free dual-event initiative will begin with a Peace Walk through six apartment complexes in the Pennwood/Arville area, followed by a Family Fun Festival at Cashman Park. This community outreach effort specifically addresses gang activity and violence that has impacted students at Clark High School and Cashman Middle School. The event aims to foster unity, provide resources, and create positive community engagement.
