Motorists Advised of Peace Way Project Area Traffic Impacts

June 1 through June 6 Due to Construction Work

Motorists are advised to plan ahead for traffic impacts on the Clark County-215 Beltway (CC-215) and Fort Apache Road in the Southwest Valley as construction crews continue work on the soon to be opened Peace Way bridge. Travel lanes on CC-215 between Flamingo Road and Tropicana Avenue are planned to be reduced to one through lane in each direction from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. on both Sunday, June 1, and Monday, June 2, for painting of the bridge.

Concurrently, starting at 9 p.m. Sunday, June 1, through approximately 4:30 p.m. Friday, June 6, Fort Apache Road between Flamingo Road and Tropicana Avenue will be reduced to one through lane in each direction to allow for a polymer bond overlay installation on the roadway. The polymer bond overlay is a specialized treatment designed to extend the life of the roadway, improve safety, and enhance driving conditions in all weather. Roadway users are advised to expect delays and seek alternate routes.

Additional information about the Peace Way project is on Clark County’s Department of Public Works website. Regular project construction hours are generally 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. There also are daytime lane restrictions in place on Peace Way, one lane in each direction, from Hualapai Way to Fort Apache Road due to roadwork construction.

This $19.8 million Clark County project includes roadway rehabilitation on Peace Way from Hualapai Way to Cimarron Road, the addition of curb, gutter and sidewalk improvements and construction of a traffic signal at Hualapai Way and Peace Way. The project also includes construction of the bridge to connect Peace Way at Fort Apache Road west of the Clark County-215 Beltway and Chessie Court east of the Beltway.

The Peace Way project started in June 2024 and is expected to take about a year to complete. Motorists are advised to check navigation apps such as Waze, Google Maps or Apple Maps for real-time information as they head out and to use alternate routes as needed while the project is under way.
