Commissioner Turns on New Traffic Signal at Rainbow, Mountains Edge

County Commissioner Justin Jones turned on a new traffic signal at the intersection of Rainbow Boulevard and Mountains Edge Parkway on Thursday.

“As someone who drives through this intersection every single day, I can tell you that this new traffic signal is sorely needed,” Commissioner Jones said. “The new signal will make the area safer and more efficient for the 16,000 drivers who travel through this intersection daily.”

The intersection is within Commission District F, which is represented by Commissioner Jones.

The new signal is part of a larger project that included adding storm drains to the intersection. Unicon was the contractor for the project.
