The Winchester Dondero Cultural Center has announced April 12-16, 2021 is Children’s Week and would like to invite you to view videos showing the diverse cultural activities celebrating children in our community. This year, in lieu of an in-person Children’s Festival, Winchester will feature Children’s Week, a video series to showcase talented children in the area. These videos can be viewed on the cultural center’s Facebook Page @winchestercultural and include a paper mache workshop, IGNITE African drum circle, a STEM workshop in collaboration with Clark County Library District, and a gardening showcase.
The Winchester Dondero Cultural Center is a dedicated cultural facility that houses a performance theater, a 235 square foot art gallery, seven classrooms, a desert demonstration garden, and a skatepark. It is home to the Children’s Festival and Life in Death annual events. Winchester also manages a desert demonstration garden and provide books and educational materials which allow local families to learn more about gardening in a desert environment.
