Applicants Sought for Stadium Authority Board Seat
Clark County is now accepting applications for anyone interested in serving on the Las Vegas Stadium Authority Board of Directors. This board manages the Las Vegas Stadium Authority. The Stadium Authority’s roles and responsibilities include owning and overseeing the stadiums and land, managing the coverage waterfall revenue distribution, and managing the capital improvement funds and related expenditures for the stadiums including one related to Major League Baseball.
County Commissioners will be filling one seat on the nine-member stadium board in December. Prospective applicants are encouraged to review the resident and experience requirements/recommendations for the position before applying. To serve on the board, one must reside within 25 miles of the Clark County Government Center in downtown Las Vegas.
All applications must be received by 5 p.m. on November 14th to be considered. The County Commission will consider the applications and make an appointment during the December 5th commission meeting. The appointment is for a four-year term that runs from January 1, 2024, to January 1, 2028. The seat is currently occupied by Tommy White, whose appointment expires on December 31. Stadium board members are not paid.
