Commissioner Jones, County Staff Invite Residents to Attend Neighborhood Meeting to Plan Future Park

Clark County Commissioner Justin Jones and County staff are hosting a neighborhood meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 30, at Aldeane Comito Ries Elementary School, 9805 S. Lindell Road, to gather input from residents about plans for a future park near the school.

The park site is approximately 10 acres situated northwest of Silverado Ranch and Jones boulevards between Ries Elementary School and Lois and Jerry Tarkanian Middle School in southwest Las Vegas. The site is located at the corner of LeBaron Avenue and Lindell Road.

"The southwest region of the Las Vegas Valley has experienced a population boom in recent years, and it's my priority to work with County staff to get as many parks and recreation facilities built there as funding will allow," said Commissioner Jones, whose Clark County Commission District F includes the area. "Community input is an important part of the process. We want to hear from as many residents as possible about the types of amenities they want included in the park."

Commissioner Jones will be joined at the meeting by staff from Clark County's Parks and Recreation and Real Property Management departments and the design consultant. Proposed amenities include a playground, splash pad, trail and two sports areas.
