Clark County Commissioner Justin Jones and County staff are hosting a neighborhood meeting at 6 p.m. on Monday, July 8, at Desert Breeze Community Center, 8275 Spring Mountain Road, to gather input from residents about plans for a future park near Tee Pee and Patrick Lanes. The park site is approximately 10 acres and is situated west of Fort Apache Road off Patrick Lane in southwest Las Vegas.
"There is a lot of need for new parks in the growing southwest portions of the Las Vegas Valley, and resident input is a big part of our planning process," said Commissioner Jones, whose Clark County Commission District F includes the area. "This meeting is an opportunity for residents who live in the neighborhoods near the site to meet with our design team to tell us what kind of amenities they'd like to see at the park when it opens."
Commissioner Jones will be joined at the meeting by staff from Clark County's Parks and Recreation and Real Property Management departments and the project's design consultant. Proposed amenities include a playground, walking trail, dog park, splash pad, and sports courts. For more information contact Clark County's Parks and Recreation Department at (702) 455-8200.
