Drive-Thru Testing Capacity at Orleans Site Expands to 1,200 Appointments Per Day

Clark County and UMC announced today that the drive-thru COVID-19 testing capacity at The Orleans Hotel & Casino has expanded to 1,200 appointments per day. Testing is available for everyone 18 and older, regardless of whether they have symptoms of COVID-19. Appointments are available seven days a week, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.

All community members who register for drive-thru COVID-19 testing appointments at The Orleans will receive tests at no out-of-pocket cost, including uninsured patients.

A recent partnership with Clinical Pathology Laboratories (CPL) has supported the continued increase in testing capacity for community members at The Orleans. The Nevada National Guard is also a partner in this testing location.

Community members can make an appointment by visiting the COVID-19 Testing Center on the home page of UMC's website at Select the "public" option to arrive at the online testing registration form. After filling out the form and clicking "submit," a representative from UMC will call people back to book their appointments. Appointments also can be made by calling CPL at (702) 795-4932, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Appointments are required for testing at this location.

The testing site is on the first-floor of the parking garage located on the west side of The Orleans property off Cameron Street. Patients should arrive 15 minutes early for their appointments. The Orleans is located at 4500 W. Tropicana Ave

After scheduling an appointment with UMC, patients will receive information about how to access test results through UMConnect, UMC's patient portal, through the MyChart app and website at Results are typically available within 48 hours. Patients who register for testing with Clinical Pathology Laboratories (CPL) can access to their COVID-19 test results by visiting or texting "CPL" to 66349 to sign up for the CPL portal. All results, positive or negative, are reported to the Southern Nevada Health District. If patients test positive for the virus, the Southern Nevada Health District will follow up with them. Patients with questions about the virus also can contact their medical provider for guidance or contact the Southern Nevada Health District's Information Phone Line at (702) 759-INFO (4636), between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.
