Our mission is to provide a safety net of human services to a growing community.
Our vision is self-sufficiency for at-risk people through a variety of services.

About Us
At Clark County Social Service (CCSS), we embody the values of public service, integrity, respect, accountability, excellence, and leadership, working together for better outcomes for our community. Our commitment is to assist Clark County residents facing challenges and not qualifying for other state, federal, or local programs. Operating in alignment with our motto, "Together for Better," we derive funding for our department from Ad Valorem Property Taxes, as specified by NRS 428, which mandates counties to provide "aid and relief to the indigent."

Guided by our values, our mission is to ensure the county meets its health, welfare, and community obligations as defined by Nevada Revised Statutes and County Ordinances. Central to our efforts is the provision of financial assistance to eligible individuals. CCSS administers a diverse range of programs, including Transportation Assistance, Housing Expense Assistance, Welfare Set Aside Program, Burials and Cremation Assistance, Eviction Diversion Program, Homemaker Services, Adult Care Services, Youth Services, Office of HIV, Education and Training Vouchers Program, and more, as assigned by the Board of County Commissioners. Together, through public service, integrity, respect, accountability, excellence, and leadership, we strive for a better and more inclusive community for all.
