The purpose of the JAG Program is to provide units of general purpose local government with funding to underwrite projects to reduce crime and improve public safety.

The grant is divided into seven components:

• Law Enforcement Programs
• Prosecution & Court Programs, including Indigent Defense
• Corrections & Community Corrections Programs
• Prevention & Educational Programs
• Drug Treatment and Enforcement Programs
• Planning, Evaluation, & Technology Improvement Programs
• Crime Victim and Witness Programs (Other than Compensation)
• Mental Health Programs and Related Law Enforcement and Corrections Programs (including Behavioral Programs and Crisis Intervention Teams)

2023 JAG

The JAG FY2023-2024 pre-application will be available beginning Monday, May 8, 2023, at 8:00 AM (PDT) and will close on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at 4:00 PM (PDT). 

The application will be available beginning Monday, May 22, 2023 at 8:00 AM (PDT) and will close on Monday, June 5, 2023 at 4:00 PM (PDT). Click HERE to apply.
