The National Children’s Advocacy Center is a nonprofit agency providing prevention, intervention, and treatment services to physically and sexually abused children and their families within a child-focused team approach. They provide resources and information for parents and professionals.

National Children’s Alliance  Website

The National Children’s Alliance (formerly the National Network of Children’s Advocacy Centers) is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to provide training, technical assistance and networking opportunities to communities seeking to plan, establish and improve Children’s Advocacy Centers.

The Nevada Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) is the state agency that receives and responds to child abuse and neglect reports and provides an array of services to children and families across the State of Nevada.

Children's Advocacy Alliance  Website

The Children's Advocacy Alliance is comprised of concerned citizens who have the same interest at heart, "Putting the Health and Safety of Children First." Members of the C.A.A. pledge to take action to improve the lives and protect the children who are victims of abuse and neglect.

State of Nevada Department of Corrections  Website

The Victim Services Unit within the Nevada Department of Corrections serves as a point of contact within corrections that is sensitive to the needs of crime victims.  Through this office, crime victims, their family members and interested or threatened parties can receive assistance.

Nevada Institute for Children's Research and Policy (NICRP)  Website

The Nevada Institute for Children's Research and Policy (NICRP) is a not-for-profit, non-partisan organization dedicated to advancing children's issues in Nevada. The Nevada Victims of Crime Program (VOCP) is dedicated to providing immediate financial assistance to victims of violent crimes that occur in Nevada.

The Kids Court Program is sponsored by the William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. The purpose of the Kids’ Court School is to educate children and youth about the investigative and judicial process, and to teach children strategizes to decrease anxiety typically associated with participation in the judicial process.

National Center for Missing and Exploited Children  Website

The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children is a hub for recovering missing children and preventing child abuse.

National Sex Offender Registry  Website

The National Sex Offender Registry enables every citizen to search the latest information from all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico for the identity and location of known sex offenders. Unlike registry websites maintained by individual states, the national registry allows searches across multiple states.

National Coalition Against Domestic Violence  Website

The National Coalition Against Domestic Violence is a national organization that includes information for victims and professionals.  For victims, information helps define the problem of Domestic Violence and provides a checklist for victims.  Also, it includes information on what to do including making safe plans.  The site includes information for professionals in the form of articles, resources, and public policy.

American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children  Website

American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (APSAC) is a professional society for those working in the field of child abuse and neglect.  Their mission is to work with providers to improve services to child abuse victims and their non-offending families.

National Organization for Victim Assistance  Website

National Organization For Victim Assistance provides toll-free phone numbers and web site addresses for a variety of agencies whose work may be of interest to victims/survivors of violent crime or crisis, or for those who work in the field of victim assistance or crisis response.

National Office for Victims of Crime  Website

The Office for Victims of Crime (OVC) was established by the 1984 Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) to oversee diverse programs that benefit victims of crime. OVC provides substantial funding to state victim assistance and compensation programs—the lifeline services that help victims to heal. The agency supports trainings designed to educate criminal justice and allied professionals regarding the rights and needs of crime victims.

National Domestic Violence Hotline Website
The National Domestic Violence Hotline operates around the clock, seven days a week, providing confidential and free of cost lifesaving tools and immediate support to enable victims to find safety and live lives free of abuse. The Hotline at 1-800-799-SAFE (7233) is staffed with highly trained experienced advocates who offer compassionate support, crisis intervention information and referral services in over 170 languages.
