Clark County, the Southern Nevada Health District and community partners support the “Back to Life” outreach campaign to increase COVID-19 vaccination rates within our Black and African American community and help address disparity issues. The multi-media campaign includes community events, grassroots outreach and social media efforts. The focus of the campaign is to encourage our Black and African American residents to take the COVID-19 vaccine when eligible, understand the importance of being fully vaccinated to protect the health of themselves, their family members and the community; counter vaccine hesitancy; and identify barriers that prevent access to vaccinations in some of the Las Vegas Valley’s hardest-hit neighborhoods. Additionally, as our community begins to get back work, school and return to normal activities because more people are getting vaccinated, everyone is reminded to keep up the key activities that help limit the spread of the virus including handwashing, wearing masks and practicing social distancing in public places. Child Vaccinations:
Vaccination is recommended for children ages 5 and older. Visit the Southern Nevada Health District or contact your child's pediatrician or primary care doctor to make an appointment to have your child vaccinated.
