Homeless Outreach

Clark County’s Community Advocacy Resources Engagement (CARE) Program provides direct outreach and support to individuals facing housing instability, mental health challenges, and substance use issues. Each week, Office of Public Safety (OPS) Officers partner with the Clark County CARE Team, a special team of social workers, to engage with people in crisis and offering connections to essential services that promote long-term stability and well-being.

This joint outreach effort focuses on individuals residing in Clark County parks, aiming to help them transition into safer and healthier living environments. By meeting people where they are and building trust through consistent engagement, the OPS/CARE team delivers compassionate, person-centered support. At the same time, their work helps ensure that public spaces remain safe, welcoming, and accessible for all residents and families.
