Amendment to the Nevada Constitution
Assembly Joint Resolution No. 10 of the 80th Session

Shall the Nevada Constitution be amended, effective July 1, 2024, to: (1) establish the State’s minimum wage that employers must pay to certain employees at a rate of $12 per hour worked, subject to any applicable increases above that $12 rate provided by federal law or enacted by the Nevada Legislature; (2) remove the existing provisions setting different rates for the minimum wage based on whether the employer offers certain health benefits to such employees; and (3) remove the existing provisions for adjusting the minimum wage based on applicable increases in the cost of living

The approved amendment must be passed statewide by voters in two successive general elections before it can be added to the Nevada Constitution. See Nevada Const. Art. 19, §2.

Who May Vote in the November 8, 2022 General Election

What Is a General Election

Candidates who receive the most votes in a General Election are elected to office. You may vote for all contests and questions on the ballot for your precinct, regardless of your party affiliation. A General Election must be held throughout the State on the first Tuesday after the first Monday of November in each even-numbered year. (NRS 293.12755)

Who May Vote and How in the General Election

All voters registered in Clark County, NV, for the current election may vote by mail or in-person on a voting machine at any Clark County early voting site during scheduled dates and hours, or from 7am to 7pm on Election Day at any Clark County Vote Center of their choice.

Clark County voters who have not opted out of receiving a mail ballot and who have not yet returned their mail ballot may vote in person on a voting machine instead of by mail. If you have your mail ballot with you, you must surrender it at the voting site. If you do not have your mail ballot with you, you must sign an affirmation that you are not voting twice in the same election. Additionally, same-day registration and updates of existing registration are available at all early voting sites and Election Day Vote Centers.

All early voting sites and Election Day Vote Centers will also serve as mail ballot drop-off locations during their scheduled hours for voting. Additionally, the Clark County Election Department and City Clerks' offices will also serve as mail ballot drop-off locations (dates and hours vary).
