Budget & Financial Planning

The Budget Office is responsible for annually preparing and submitting the County's budget to the Board of County Commissioners for approval. Throughout the year, this division is responsible for the monitoring and controlling of expenditures and budgetary compliance. In conjunction with the preparation of the County's operating budget, the division is responsible for preparing and submitting the County's five-year Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). Further, the division assists County management in determining the fiscal impact of programmatic decisions and special projects, as well as recommending financial policies and guidelines for County operations.

Comptroller

The Comptroller’s Office is the central coordinating financial agency of the County, responsible for both external and internal financial reporting as well as the processing and the maintenance of all official accounting records. Accounting functions performed by the office include general ledger, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, capital assets, cost allocation and data control. This office also maintains all historical financial data for the County.

Clark County, Nevada (the "County") has engaged, is represented by and will rely on the advice of Hobbs Ong & Associates, Inc. and PFM Financial Advisors, LLC, two separate independent registered municipal advisors, to advise it on the issuance of its municipal bonds and municipal financial products.  The County intends that this statement constitutes the "required representation" for purposes of the "represented by an independent registered municipal advisor" exemption set forth in SEC Rule 15Ba1-1(d)(3) (the "Rule"). The County understands that each of the above Independent Municipal Advisors is a municipal advisor registered pursuant to Section 15B of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, as amended, and the rules and regulations thereunder.  By publicly posting this written statement, the County intends that market participants receive and use it for purposes of the independent registered municipal advisor exemption in the Rule. This statement may not be used for any other purpose.
