Firefighters frequently are confronted with situations that require quick decisions based on special skills, judgment and creativity. A comprehensive training program is essential to ensure that firefighters are prepared for those situations.
The role of the Training Division is twofold:
- To prepare cadets to be entry-level firefighters
- To develop and coordinate in-service training for current firefighters.
The Training Division also ensures that all current personnel comply with state and federal mandates regarding continuing education requirements. Advanced and specialized technical training, along with professional development, are provided to various members of the department.
The Clark County Fire Department Training Center is located at 4425 W. Tropicana Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89103. You may contact us by phone at (702) 455-7700 or fax, (702) 455-8349.
