Building Department
Provides plan review, permitting, inspection and public education to ensure a safe-built environment, promote fire prevention, and support emergency response to protect the citizens and visitors of Clark County.

Business License
The department ensures public health and safety through the licensure of businesses which fall into the three major types: General, Regulated and Privileged. These licenses are issued strictly for those businesses doing business in unincorporated Clark County

County Clerk
Independent record-keeper for the County. Issues marriage licenses and records.

County Commission
A seven-member County Commission, elected from geographic districts on a partisan basis for staggered four-year terms.

County Manager
The County Manager's Office is responsible for the executive oversight of Clark County, which provides regional services to more than 2.3 million residents. The county manager is Yolanda King, who, in her position as the County's chief executive officer, is charged with carrying out the policies established by the seven-member County Commission.

Communications & Strategy
Responsible for coordinating County public information and outreach efforts, disseminating news releases, organizing news conferences, responding to media and citizen inquiries and more.

Coroner/Medical Examiner
Provides identification, performs autopsies or medical examinations, locates next-of-kin, and carries out any other requirements regarding deaths that fall under its jurisdiction

Detention Center
Access to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department inmate search, visitation, pre trial and bail services and all other inquiries.

District Attorney
The legal branch of local government in Clark County. Comprised of four unique divisions: Criminal, Juvenile, Family Support and Civil.

District Court
The largest general jurisdiction court in Nevada. This jurisdiction encompasses all municipalities and outlying communities of Clark County.

Election Department
Facilitate access to the electoral process by all eligible voters to exercise their voting rights.

Environment and Sustainability
Clark County's air pollution control agency, regional Endangered Species Act compliance program and sustainability office.

Family Court
The Family Court helps people with divorce, annulment, child custody, visitation rights, child support, spousal support, community property division, name changes, adoption, and abuse and neglect.

Protecting children from abuse and neglect; to provide permanent families for those children who cannot safely return home and to ensure the well-being of children in our care

Finance
Provides a wide range of financial and non-financial services to the public, the Board of County Commissioners, the County Manager and County departments; includes divisions which provide services to internal and external County customers.

Protects lives, property, and the environment for Southern Nevada Communities and visitors through fire suppression, emergency medical service, emergency management and public education.

Geographic Info Systems
Facilitate the coordination of GIS capabilities in the local community, develop and maintain GIS resources for County Departments, distribute GIS data, and creates, develops and supports GIS Maps and applications.

Provides services for learning and development, employee relations, internal/external recruitment and employee retention.

Information Technology
Provides core technology services that support the business needs of County departments, in the areas of: Application Hosting, Business Services, Data Center Hosting, GIS, Professional Services and Workplace Services.

Intergovernmental Relations
This office enacts the Board's legislative proposals and responds to local, state, and federal legislation that could affect the County.

Justice Courts
Responsible for matters ranging from felony arraignments and preliminary hearings to small civil cases, small claims cases, landlord-tenant disputes; as well as citations issued by state and local law enforcement agencies.

Juvenile Justice Services
Provides intervention services, guidance and control for youth ages 18 and under who are involved in delinquency and truancy.

Law Library
A public law library open to everyone. Serves the legal research needs of the bench, bar, and public of Southern Nevada. Maintains in its collection both state and federal statutes, regulations, and cases, as well as commentary.

Public Administrator
Responsible for safeguarding and/or administering the estate of a decedent, when a family member or authorized individual is not available to do so.

Public Defender
Represents citizens of Clark County accused of crimes who cannot afford representation.

Public Guardian's Office
Responsible for taking care of individuals who are legally determined to be incapable of taking care of themselves.

Public Works
Delivers services to the community including the design, construction, inspection and maintenance of essential public infrastructure.

Purchasing
The Purchasing and Contracts Division is responsible for obtaining required materials, supplies, equipment and services, including construction, for all County departments.

Real Property Management
Internal service department ensuring that County departments have the necessary tools to provide services to the community.

Recorder's Office
A public reords office, for subsequent retrieval of records for public viewing, produces copies and certification of records.

Risk Management
Serves as the administrator of the self-funded insurance pools for group health and life insurance, workers' compensation and general liability. This office also manages insurance policies for the County covering excess liability claims and property damage to buildings and equipment.

Sheriff Civil
The Sheriff's Civil Process Section is comprised of Deputies who are full time peace officers commissioned by the Sheriff of Clark County. The office of the Sheriff Civil Process Section acts as a messenger of the Courts in all civil matters.

Social Service
Provides services for for needy residents of Clark County who are not assisted by other state, federal or local programs.

Special Public Defender
Provide representation in cases where the Public Defender has a conflict of interest.

Town & Liaison Services
Town and Liaison Services respond to neighborhood concerns through facilitation, coordination, networking and problem solving with various neighborhood organizations, associations, advisory boards and government agencies.

Treasurer
Oversees the billing, collection, and distribution of taxes on all real properties in Clark County; as well as the receipt and disbursement of County revenues and for administering banking and investment services.

Water Quality
Water Quality is responsible for the protection, preservation, and enhancement of Clark County's water resources.

Water Reclamation
Ensures that the quality of reclaimed water coming from us has been highly treated to meet strict water quality standards and can be safely returned to the environment or used in the community.
