Protection Orders

A protection order is a civil court order that aims to protect a person (the applicant) from harm or harassment by another person (the adverse party). The order outlines specific actions the adverse party is prohibited from doing and specific places the adverse party must stay away from to ensure the safety of the applicant. Violating the terms of a protection order may result in criminal charges.
