About the Maestro Musicians
Clark County had the pleasure of collaborating with Las Vegas musicians to create audio
recordings for Maestro, featured across two locations: Boulevard Mall and Winchester Cultural Center.
Each of the four music notes offers a unique auditory experience. At Boulevard Mall, Maestro represents a significant cultural milestone as the first public art installation in Filipino Town. Reflecting the creativity of the community, the audio recordings at this site are curated by Filipino artists, highlighting their voices and artistic contributions.
Winchester Cultural Center features its own musical genre, with original compositions by a talented Las Vegas musician duo. Maestro at this location aims to draw attention to the imagination and vibrance of the Winchester community. Together, these pieces create a rich and engaging art piece that invites visitors to explore music and public art.

His selected song “Minus One” celebrates Filipino karaoke culture and love of music as a source of memory, connection, and joy across generations.
Featured song: “FilipiNice” Written, composed, and performed by Jonathan Florido and Astrid Veronika
Jonathan Florido and Astrid Veronika are a Las Vegas–based father-daughter duo creating music that bridges generations, culture, and identity. Their collaboration began when Astrid discovered her love for music at just nine years old, building on Jonathan’s long-standing journey as a singer and songwriter since his early twenties. What started as a shared passion at home has grown into a creative partnership rooted in storytelling, heritage, and connection.
Their original piece, FilipiNice, is a vibrant song that celebrates Filipino culture with warmth and pride. Playful in spirit yet rich in meaning, the song invites listeners to be “Filipinized", to experience the heart of Filipino identity through its joyful energy, love for food, natural talent, and deep sense of community. It’s both an introduction and a celebration, capturing cultural pride in a way that feels accessible and alive.
Their work was selected for Maestro, an immersive musical art installation at Boulevard Mall, and they are deeply grateful for the opportunity to represent Filipino artists in Las Vegas’ Filipino Town through a project that celebrates culture, creativity, and community.
For Jonathan and Astrid, FilipiNice represents more than just a song, it’s a reflection of their bond, their roots, and their shared creative journey. Together, they look forward to continuing to create music, collaborate, and tell stories that connect people across cultures and generations.
