Map Team Process Steps:
1. Vacation and Abandonment (VS) applications are submitted online to Comprehensive Planning. A planner will coordinate the review and public hearing process with the applicant. For more information on their application submittal process, please contact Comprehensive Planning at 702-455-4314 Option 2, Option 1.
2. When the VS application is scheduled for hearing, the Map Team sends a request for a recommendation to each of the required utility agencies. See list of required utility agencies in the Vacation Agency Recommendation Letter (VAR) (see link below). It is the applicant’s responsibility to ensure that the Map Team has the necessary responses in order to record the vacation.

3. After the VS application has been heard and approved, the Notice of Final Action (NOFA) and Vacation Agency Recommendation Letter (VAR) is mailed to the applicant. The utility companies must provide a response to the Map Team within 90 days of approval of the VS application. The VS application will not be approved to record until all conditions stated in the enclosed NOFA are satisfied and all utility agency responses are received.
4. Once the applicant satisfies all conditions stated in the NOFA and all utility agency responses are received, the Order of Vacation will be recorded.
