Instructions:

To record your land document (excluding maps), you will need to complete the following:

1. 

Format your document according to our document requirements

Anatomy of a Recorded Document (Requirements, Standards, Recommendations)

2. 

Prepare and pay associated recording fees

Acceptable Forms of Payment

3. 

Complete a Declaration of Value form

A Declaration of Value form is required for all documents conveying interest with the exception of an Affidavit Terminating Joint Tenancy.

Prepare and Pay Real Property Transfer Tax The transfer tax is calculated at the rate of $2.55 per $500 of value or a fraction thereof. The transfer tax is based on the full purchase price or the estimated fair market value. Certain transfers are exempt from Real Property Transfer Tax in accordance with NRS 375.090 (see RPTT Exemption list). Use the Real Property Transfer Tax Calculator for an estimation of taxes. This is only an estimation and does not replace official calculations.
