GIVE JOY Holiday Toy & Gift Card Drive
The holidays should be a time of joy, laughter, and love — but for thousands of children in foster care, the season can be filled with uncertainty and loneliness. GIVE JOY changes that.
GIVE JOY Toy & Gift Card Drive benefits the babies, children, and teenagers that are in foster care through Clark County Family Services. GIVE JOY makes the holidays brighter for children in foster care by giving each child a special gift. Last year, GIVE JOY provided gifts to 3200 children who were in foster care throughout the holidays. Every donation becomes a symbol of love, strength, and support. We know the community will rise up to GIVE JOY, hope, and holiday magic to children in foster care.

GIVE GIFTS
We encourage you to take part by either hosting a toy drive at your organization by collecting NEW and UNWRAPPED toys for children ages 0-12 years old or by collecting gift cards in increments of $25 or $50 for teenagers in foster care. Please register your toy drive by clicking here. The toy drive registration includes details like drop-off dates, times, and the location for GIVE JOY.
GIVE TIME
Volunteers are needed throughout the GIVE JOY Toy & Gift Card Drive to sort donations, pack gifts, and help families make special holiday memories when they come to pick up their gifts. We are thrilled that you would like to lend your time and energy to GIVE JOY to babies, children, and teens in foster care. Click here to sign up as a volunteer.
GIVE MONETARY DONATIONS
Your donation of $50 will provide a special toy or gift card to a baby, child, or teenager in foster care in Clark County Family Services foster care this holiday season. Click here to donate.
Funding and donations for GIVE JOY are supported by Share in the JOY, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and an officially recognized fiscal partner of Clark County Family Services foster care events.
INKED FOR IMPACT
Thank you to Mari Gonzalez and Koolsville Tattoo for joining Clark County's Proud Partner of Foster Care business initiative in an unexpected way: by offering free tattoos to the community in exchange for donations of care and comfort items for children entering foster care. This heartwarming partnership between Koolsville Tattoo, Clark County Commissioner McCurdy II and Las Vegas Councilwoman Olivia Diaz shows how creative community collaborations can work together in meaningful ways to support the County's most vulnerable children.
Why this matters:
When children enter foster care, they often arrive with nothing more than the clothes on their backs. A new pair of pajamas and a soft stuffed animal can provide crucial emotional comfort during their initial placement, which can feel scary or overwhelming. This partnership demonstrates how local businesses are finding meaningful ways to support the County's most vulnerable children.
BACK-TO-SCHOOL GEAR GIVEAWAY FOR FOSTER CARE
Nearly 2000 children and teens started the school year while in foster care in Clark County.
Together, our community prepared kids in care for success this school year by providing new backpacks, school supplies, and new shoes. We are grateful for community partners, donors and volunteers who ensured our children in foster care were ready to return to the classroom.
Thank you to Commissioner Jim Gibson and Commissioner Marilyn Kirkpatrick for sponsoring our Back-to-School Gear Giveaway for Foster Care, held in July at the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix, F1 Grand Prix Plaza. We honored 99 high school graduates in foster care through Clark County Family Services and high school graduates in StepUp, a social service program for youth who have transitioned out of foster care to live independently.
