Quality Assurance is the monitoring, inspection, and testing performed by a person independent of the quality control functions to confirm materials and work meet the requirements of the approved construction documents and referenced standards.

Inspection Agency Agreement
It is an agreement between the owner or owners’ representative and the Building Official, issued with the permit that lists the types of construction required to be verified through a special inspection process. The owner shall designate a prime agency to provide special inspection and document results for the Building Official.

As a permit applicant, some of the options related to Inspection Agency agreements are:

• Create a New Inspection Agency Agreement
• Revise an Existing Inspection Agency agreement (To add or remove an item of inspection)
• Change of Inspection Agency on an existing agreement

Engineering Services administers the 3rd party Inspection Agencies by overseeing over 50 Agencies with over 2000 inspection personnel who cover inspections ranging from structural, grading, amusement rides, and transportation systems inspections. Engineering Services administers fabrication facilities that supply services and materials to the Las Vegas Valley. Inspections performed by the assigned Inspection Agency do not eliminate the requirement of designated inspections to be completed by a Clark County inspector.
