- FAQ
If you are hosting a temporary event at a specific location for a limited period, you will most likely need special event permit(s). If the event includes admission fees, live music, includes additional vendors or business participants, may serve alcohol, and/or have more than 5,000 attendees per day, you will need multiple permits specific to the activities.
These are the permits and licenses that will be overseen by the Clark County Sports and Special Events (SSE). Note that these licenses and permits will be processed by multiple divisions within the Business Licenses Department, but SSE will be your first stop for preliminary approval and will help guide you through the different permit requirements and agencies. Event types that fall outside of this list will not need this department’s preliminary approval.
