Full Scope Professional Education Workshop - Patricia Walsh
On April 6, 2021 from 12:00pm to 2:00pm PDT, followed by an hour-long question and answer period, guest speaker Patricia Walsh will share her experience with public art. Her presentation will focus on public art policies and a better understanding of how public art happens on a local level.
As the Public Art & Civic Design Senior Program Manager, Patricia Walsh oversees five program areas under the Equity + Local Arts Engagement department. Through her work, she engages with and works to educate local arts agency leaders on how to utilize the arts to equitably address community needs and goals. Her work aims to support professional development, resource building, and networking opportunities for arts administrators to utilize the arts to create accessible public spaces, enable inclusive and equitable community development and ensure the arts are an active component of inequitable economic growth and sustainability. She holds a Master of Science in Arts Administration from Boston University, a Bachelor of Arts in painting from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh, and an Associates in Applied Science in Commercial Art from Dutchess Community College.
