In the 2020-2021 school year, Wetlands Park provided a Virtual Field Trip experience to over 6,000 CCSD students grades K-12. We continue to adapt our Field Trip options to reach as many students as possible while keeping safety in mind.
Guided Field Trips available for CCSD grades 3-5 only. As conditions allow, Guided Field Trips may be scheduled on Thursdays from October through April. Guided Field Trips are all outdoors and there is a maximum of about 60 students per day. Teachers must receive specific approval from the school principal prior to scheduling. Please obtain permission prior to submitting a request.

Self-Guided Field Trips are offered for all grades including public, private, and home schools. Free.
Self-Guided Field Trips will be scheduled on Wednesdays from October through April. Wetlands Park staff will present a short Introductory Talk when you arrive. One teacher/leader per 30 students must attend a training class prior to your field trip date. Teacher trainings will be offered on weekends and attendees earn 1 CCSD CU. Training dates: Sept. 26, Oct. 2, Oct. 3, Nov. 6, Jan. 8, Feb. 5.

Virtual Field Trips are free of charge for CCSD classes or fee-based for private or home schools. The virtual field trip experience is 30-45 minutes and includes pre-recorded content and live discussion that will take place in your Google Classroom. Content was developed for grades 3-5, but all grades may participate. You may also use this form to request a link to a 15-minute video for your independent use.
