Have you joined Wetlands Walkers yet? Our free walking club is a great way to get your steps in, explore the Park, and learn about a new migratory species every year. Earn prizes at milestones!

Guided Walks & Tours

Bat Walks
Join a Park naturalist on a dusk walk all about Bats. We'll use a Bat Detector to hear their echolocation calls and make identifications. Dusk is also a great time to spot other Park creatures who don't venture out in the heat of the day.

Beaver Walks
Did you hear that splash? Join a Park naturalist on an early morning walk to spot beavers hard at work. Mornings are an ideal time for sightings of many other animals that make Wetlands Park their home, too.

Studio WP Art Programs

Nature Journaling

This series of classes is an introduction to nature journaling, introducing the concept, history, and practice. Gain the confidence, curiosity, and enthusiasm to develop and sustain the habit of nature journaling!

About the instructor:
Daniel Ogletree is an artist and Adjunct Instructor at UNLV and CSN, where he teaches drawing and design. He earned his MFA in printmaking from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 2014, and has exhibited his work worldwide - from China and Poland to Hawaii and New York.  He resides near the Wetlands Park with his wife and their Border Collie mix, where he enjoys hiking, climbing, trail running, and birding.

Programming at Wetlands Park reflects our commitment to connecting people to nature. The unique and amazing resources of the Park are not only important to the residents and visitors in the Las Vegas Valley, but also to wildlife. Join us for one of our educational or recreational programs. Programs are offered to a variety of ages and interests.

Program fees help support continued Wetlands Park programming. Wetlands Park requests 48 hours notice of cancellation prior to start of class for refund of program fees.
