Do I still receive a mail ballot?

Yes. Under Nevada law, all active registered voters who are registered no later than 14 days before Election Day are automatically mailed a ballot, unless they have chosen to opt out of mail ballot voting.

Receiving a mail ballot does not require you to vote by mail. You may still choose to vote in person at any early voting site or Election Day vote center instead. If you vote in person, your mail ballot cannot also be counted.

Where can I vote in person?

In Clark County, if you are a Clark County resident, you may vote at any early voting site or any Election Day vote center (NRS 293.3072). This gives you more flexibility to choose a site near home, work, or anywhere else that is convenient.

Can I register to vote and vote on the same day?

Yes. Nevada offers Same-Day Registration,

which allows eligible voters to register to vote or update their registration and vote in person during early voting or on Election Day. If you register or update your registration at a vote center, you must vote at that time.

To use Same-Day Registration, you must provide an unexpired Nevada driver’s license, Nevada identification card, Nevada DMV interim document, or Tribal ID (NRS 293.5837, 293.5842, 293.5847). If your ID does not include your current residential address, you must also provide proof of residence, such as a utility bill, bank statement, vehicle registration, paycheck, or government-issued document.

To register and vote in Nevada, you must:

• Be a U.S. citizen.
• Be at least 18 years old on or before Election Day.
• Have lived in Nevada for at least 30 days before the election and at your current address for at least 10 days. (NRS 293.485)

Ballots cast through Same-Day Registration

are provisional ballots. Provisional ballots contain the same contests as regular ballots and are counted once election officials verify your eligibility and registration information.

Can I drop off my mail ballot at a voting site?

Yes. Every early voting and Election Day voting site also accepts completed mail ballots during voting hours. The Election Department and the five City Clerks offices are additional mail ballot drop-off locations.

What if I need language or accessibility assistance?

In Clark County, ballots and election materials are printed in English, Spanish, and Filipino, as required by Section 203 of the federal Voting Rights Act.

If you speak another language, you may request interpreter services in more than 200 languages by calling (702) 357-3379. You may also bring a person of your choice (other than your employer or union representative) to assist you in the voting booth (NRS 293.296).

If you need assistance because of a disability, difficulty reading or writing, or another reason, you may bring a person of your choice to help you vote, as long as that person is not your employer or union representative (NRS 293.296). Election workers are also available to explain the voting process and provide assistance if requested.
