Drivers - Independent Contractors (Including Transportation Network Company Drivers)
All Independent Contractor (rideshare) drivers driving for a Motor Network Transportation Company (for example: Uber, Lyft, HopSkipDrive) and delivery drivers must apply for a Clark County business license. If you are a rideshare driver and are providing additional services such as Amazon Flex, doordash, GrubHub or Postmates, an additional delivery driver business license is required. Below you'll find all the information about applying for a business license for all of these platforms, including how to get started with a helpful tutorial on how to apply online, fee information, making changes to your licenses, and a how to renew your license online.
APPLY FOR A BUSINESS LICENSE ONLINE
APPLICATION STEPS:
1. OBTAIN A NEVADA STATE BUSINESS LICENSE
Prior to applying for a Clark County driver business license, all drivers must register and obtain a State Business License from the Secretary of State.
[[Note: Clark County Business License will accept drivers registered with the Secretary of State as Limited Liability Companies for licensing as long as the individual driver(s) are listed as a member of the Limited Liability Company. The Clark County driver business license, however, will be issued in the name of the individual driver, not in the name of the Limited Liability Company]].
2. APPLY FOR A CLARK COUNTY BUSINESS LICENSE ONLINE
Applying for a business license to drive for a TNC or delivery is quick, convenient and easy! Review the associated fees for each type of license and then use our online tool to start the application process!
Helpful Tips:
- Clark County Business License will issue up to three individual business licenses to drivers who are members of the same Limited Liability Company. Clark County driver business licenses will not be issued to employees of Limited Liability Companies.

The annual cycle runs from November - October of the following year.

New Application:
If you wish to mail your application AFTER OBTAINING A STATE LICENSE (see #1), you may download and complete the appropriate form(s):
- Business License Application Form for TNC Driver DRI - Independent Contractors (e.g. Uber and UberEats, Lyft, HopSkipDrive, etc.)
- Business License Application Form for Delivery Drivers (e.g. (DoorDash, GrubHub, Postmates, Instacart, UberEats only, etc.)
Change of Address:
For a change of address, complete the Application for Change of Address for TNC Drivers and mail the completed form with a check or money order in the amount of $25.00. The $25.00 change fee is required for a change in address.
