Approval for: Building or modifying permanent structures, the Department issues a Building Permit. If a structure will be up for more than 180 days, then it is classified as permanent. If it is less than or equal to 180 days, then the modification approval is handled by Fire Prevention Department. If the event requires power, the Department issues an Electrical Permit for any generators that they use for events.
