Construction on the Fort Apache Road project is set to begin on Monday, March 18th, 2024. Fort Apache Road (Phase 2) – from Blue Diamond Road to Huntington Cove and Pebble Road – from Fort Apache Road to Durango Drive and Presley Glen Avenue – from Fort Apache Road to and existing 1000 feet east. This project will widen Fort Apache to 2 lanes in each direction with buffered bike lanes and medians. Work will include excavation, new plantmix bituminous pavement, UTACS, concrete curb and gutter, asphalt paths, mill and overlay of existing pavement, construction of 2 new crossings for existing washes and storm drain infrastructure, ITS infrastructure, traffic signal modifications, new traffic signal at Fort Apache Road and Ford Avenue, street lighting, utility adjustments pavement markings, traffic signing, and associated improvements.
