Winchester Cultural Center Gallery
3130 S. McLeod Drive, Las Vegas, NV 89121
Tuesday, November 17 - Friday, January 8, 2016
Reception on Friday, November 20 from 5:30-7:30 PM
Valentin Yordanov's dynamic abstractions will be on viewfrom November 17 through January 8 at the Winchester Cultural Center Gallery, 3130 S. McLeod Drive. A reception will be held from 5:30-7:30 pm on Friday, November 20, 2015.
Working across the mediums of painting, drawing and sculpture, “Terminal” is an exhibition of complex layers and directions. As maps, Valentin Yordanov's painting takes us on tour of the invisible world around us. His abstract landscapes act as travelogue impressions of locations visited. Yordanov's geography of brightly colored shapes, plan drawings, high-impact graphics each layer to create a “non-place” world in a triumph of color and shape.
Valentin earned his Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Veliko Tarnavo in Bulgaria and a Fine Arts Specialization from The Bucharest National University of Arts in Romania. Beyond numerous solo and group shows all over Bulgaria, his recent local exhibitions include, Hold, Art Square, Celebration of imagination, the Palazzo hotel and casino, Las Vegas and Forms for Thought, Brett Wesley Gallery.
